I-35 in south Austin reopens after deadly crash
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police are investigating a lethal crash involving an 18-wheeler and a truck early Friday morning on Interstate 35 in south Austin.
The crash occurred round 2:40 a.m. on South I-35 simply north of Slaughter Lane. One grownup contained in the truck died within the crash.
Austin Police have been forcing southbound drivers off I-35 at William Cannon as a result of they closed all southbound lanes.
Lanes have been reopened a number of hours later.
APD was unsure if the one that died was the driving force or a passenger within the truck. It did say everybody concerned stayed on the scene.
