Austin first responders cancel water rescue at Roy Guererro Metro Park
AUSTIN, Texas — A water rescue in East Austin has been canceled after first responders performed an intensive search and located nobody in misery.
Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) responded to a name reporting an individual and pet being “washed away” round 2:20 p.m. on April 17. The incident occurred at 800 Grove Blvd. at Roy G. Guerrero Metro Park close to the Colorado River.
Rescuers later spoke to witnesses who mentioned somebody had exited the river and that they noticed a canine on the path, ATCEMS mentioned. So, the rescue was canceled as they believed nobody was at risk within the river.
That is the second water rescue performed by Austin first responders. On April 16, they responded to a name about two lacking swimmers round Little Webberville Park in East Travis County. Nobody has been discovered and the rescue has since transitioned to a restoration.
FINAL Water Rescue 800 Grove Blvd: After intensive search nobody has been situated in water in misery. Rescuers spoke to witnesses that say somebody exited the river & additionally they noticed a canine on the path. Rescue being canceled as it’s believed nobody at risk within the river.
