DDS reminds Georgians of REAL ID compliance
According to a recent press release, the Georgia Department of Driver Services is reminding Georgia residents that if they have a gold or black in the upper right hand corner of their driver’s license, they have a REAL ID.

The sheriff’s office says charges are pending at this time.
This isn’t the first pedestrian crash that has happened this week.
On Wednesday, 52-year-old James King died after being hit by a vehicle on Deans Bridge Road – one of four thoroughfares that account for an outsized number of Augusta’s pedestrian deaths in Augusta.
As of Wednesday, 53 people died on these four roads in the last 10 years: Peach Orchard Road, Mike Padgett Highway, Deans Bridge Road and Gordon Highway.
