Students get free haircuts, food, more through Augusta program
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – As students go back to school on Thursday, some of them got haircuts, free food and more on Wednesday through the Augusta Partnership for Children’s Kutz 4 Kidz event.
Organizers say it also allows parents to get help through the program which provides resources that some people may need.
“There is a need for events like this in the community, simply because parents can’t always get out to a barber shop, parents can’t always afford haircuts, or school supplies or anything like that so whenever we do have anything free, it’s very important,” said Kippen Wallace, first steps coordinator.
