N. Augusta city council approves first reading for the Hive development plan

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – On Monday, the North Augusta city council approved the first reading for the development plan for the Hive.

This approval allows for the developer to move forward in an efficient way.

The project will bring more apartments, townhomes, and businesses to the east side of Martintown Road in North Augusta.

The project is something leaders have been discussing since 2006.

It has raised traffic concerns among neighbors.

Also Monday, North Augusta city council announced you can only leave out 4 bags of yard waste per week, with no loose yard waste, meaning it has to be in a bag.

They say full yard waste collection will not likely return until after Master’s Week.
