Helicopter debris breaks window of door at Children’s Hospital

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A piece of helicopter-blown debris broke a window Thursday at Children’s Hospital of Georgia, a witness said.

After the midday incident, wood was covering the broken window of a door, while a patio area was cordoned off.

Only one window was broken, according to employees.

One person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the emergency department.

“We are investigating the situation and repairing the site,” hospital spokeswoman Lisa Kaylor said.

A witness told News 12 the window was broken by debris that was blown when a helicopter landed.
