Family seeks community help in finding missing Augusta man

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Demon Parrish disappeared without a trace on Monday, and now his family is desperate to find him.

On Friday, family and friends searched the last known area he was in.

Sonya Jackson is an aunt holding on to hope as groups search for any sign of her nephew.

“They are out here searching for any bag, suspicious bag, or whatever. I can’t do it. Me personally because I don’t want to see nothing,” said Jackson.

Demon ‘Poke’ Parrish is a 31-year-old son, brother, father and hairstylist with many talents.

“He is funny. He can cook. He can sing. Oh man, he can sing. He does hair and he gives the best shampoos,” said Jackson.

If he’s not with his family, Jackson says he’s communicating through social media.

But as of Tuesday, Jackson says there’s been nothing but silence.

“When I texted him Tuesday night before I went to bed, if I don’t get a text and if I don’t wake up at like one o’clock in the morning, pick up my phone, and he’s responded, then I’ll get a text the next day. But I didn’t get that text,” said Jackson.

Demon was last seen on Mill Street, wearing pink sweat pants and a black hoodie.

Jackson says he’s not the type to leave his child and business without a trace.

“My niece knew something was up when his car was pinging around this location,” she said.

The search around his last location continues and they are calling on the community for help.

“If anyone knows anything, if you’ve heard something or you’ve seen anything, please call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office,” said Jackson.

Demon Parrish is described as 6 foot 1 inch tall and weighs 230 pounds. His family says he had locks in his hair the last time they saw him.
