AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Tuesday was Mardi Gras — and over at Brandon Wilde — residents celebrated in style!

The senior living community is known for going all out — and Mardi Gras was no exception.

There was bead throwing, party masks — and a parade making its way through campus, led by a trumpeter!

Avery Villines, senior director of community life services at Brandon Wilde, says, “We got beads – beads are very important – the only thing they needed to do to get them is smile – smile is very important and its what we need Brandon Wilde!”

After the parade, residents got to feast on king cake, jambalaya, cajun food, and, of course, hurricanes.
