AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Augusta leaders will offer the public some information on a potential local floating homestead property tax exemption.

The public information session will begin at 1 p.m. at the Augusta-Richmond County Municipal Building on Telfair Street.

The session will also be available on the city’s website.

Augusta Commission members last month decided to opt out of the state’s new floating exemption. But the understanding was that leaders would look at implementing their own floating exemption.
