Gray Radio (Wisdom, LLC) will launch “Fox Sports 94.7” on WAAW Augusta on Monday, July 3. The station, which was originally owned by groundbreaking soul and funk showman James Brown, will feature Fox Sports Radio’s complete programming lineup, including “Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn & Jonas Knox,” “The Dan Patrick Show,” “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” “The Doug Gottlieb Show,” “Covino & Rich,” “The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker,” “The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon,” and “The Ben Maller Show.”
“WAAW is extremely excited to bring Fox Sports to local Augusta sports fans,” President/CEO Tony Gray said in a release. “We’re confident that the home of the Masters Tournament will embrace the station’s new format.”
The station has been programming an inspirational gospel format for the past 28 years and most recently identified as “Shout 94.7.” A farewell celebration is planned for July 1.
