AU athletics to add indoor track and field for 2025-2026
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -For the first time in more than a decade, a new sport is coming to Augusta University.
This upcoming school year, the university will add men’s and women’s track & field.
It is the first sport the institution has added to its rotation since 2013.
Current cross country and track & field coach Jacob Burgamy will lead the charge. Under Burgamy, the Jags have captured three straight Peach Belt Conference titles, earning a national rank in each year.
This past season, the Jags had two All-Americans in Jordan Robertson (cross country) and Avery Jaynes (track & field).
