Speeding driver who fled from GSP dies after fiery crash in southeast Atlanta, troopers say
ATLANTA – A driver who the Georgia State Patrol says fled from troopers has died after the chase led to a fiery crash in southeast Atlanta.
Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol say they noticed a white Chevrolet Silverado driving west alongside Interstate 20 doing 90 mph. Trooper say they tried to tug over the pickup truck, however continued, exiting onto Flat Shoals Highway.
Troopers say the driving force ended up dashing west alongside Custer Avenue. The driving force didn’t cease on the purple gentle on the Moreland Avenue intersection, crashing to a grey SUV touring north, trooper say.
The pickup truck caught fireplace and troopers say they needed to pull the driving force out.
Trooper say the driving force was unresponsive and ultimately was pronounced lifeless on the scene from his accidents.
The identify of the driving force has not been launched.
The driving force of the SUV suffered solely minor accidents and refused medical remedy.
Troopers say there was no contact between the pickup truck and their patrol automobiles throughout the chase.
