After a long wait, Season 16 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is finally here, and there’s a ton of new ladies for you to get to know.
With two O.G.s back in the game, plus four new housewives, fans can expect lots of drama, big laughs and comfort in familiar faces — including veteran housewife Cynthia Bailey joining as a friend of the show.
While the franchise went through it’s ups and downs following a slew of cast exits and changeups, even former “RHOA” executive producer, Carlos King, said, Season 16 could be one of its best yet.
“I think this is going to be one of the best seasons, for sure. And I’m going to tell you why: Porsha is back, and Porsha is so fun to watch. We get to see the uncovering of what happened in her filing for divorce [from Simon Guobadia] … We get to see that from a force multiplier,” King explained. “And then we get to see Kenya Moore and what happens when she transitions out of the show. And then we get to see these new girls come in.
“And then Cynthia Bailey’s back as a ‘friend of.’ Honey, Phaedra Parks comes in towards the end of the season. There’s so many surprises that are going to happen that I have a very strong feeling it’s going to be a great season. I’m looking forward to seeing ‘Frick and Frack’ coming back.”
There’s a lot to look forward to but until then check out the Season 16 cast of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Check out the list below.

Porsha Williams
That’s right, “RHOA” fan favorite Porsha Williams has returned to the cast after calling it quits for two seasons. Following tumultuous breakup with her estranged husband Simon Guobadia, there’s a lot for Williams to unpack with her fellow housewives this season.

Phaedra Parks
Just like Williams, Parks is making a long-awaited return to “RHOA.” After making appearance on “Married to Medicine” and “Traitors,” the southern belle is back and better than ever. She’ll be joining later in the season.

Drew Sidora
Drew Sidora has truly made her mark on “RHOA” after a four-season run, and she’s not holding anything back in Season 16.

Shamea Morton Mwangi
She’s been a Porsha Williams’ friend of the show for several seasons, Shamea Morton Mwangi has finally earned her peach.

Brit Eady
One of the three newcomers this season is Brit Eady. She’s a businesswoman who works in the insurance industry and runs her own insurance education agency Agency Jumpstart. In addition, Eady is a proud dog mom, wife and launched a shapewear and clothing line Bare and Naked.

Kelli Ferrell
Another newbie is Kelli Ferrell. She’s the owner of popular Atlanta-based chicken and waffles restaurant Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles. She’s also a “culinary partner and ambassador” for Meals on Wheels Atlanta.

Angela Oakley
Angela Oakley grew up in Harvey, Illinois, but she’s now making moves in Atlanta as the newest cast member of “RHOA.” Oakley is married to NBA legend Charles Oakley but she has her own career in real estate investing and tax preparation.

Flight delays, cancellations continue to pile up at Atlanta airport during government shutdown

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Flight delays and cancellations continue to pile up at the world’s busiest airport.
There were at least 128 reported on Monday, according to flight tracking website FlightAware.
It prompted travelers to sound off about the government shutdown, which is to blame.
“So far, I haven’t experienced any personal delays, but anybody that works should get paid, and the frustration that these people must have has to be astronomic. How do you support your families, how do you buy groceries and that what not,” traveler John Nichols said.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a surge in air traffic controllers calling out last Friday strained staffing at many airports and led to flight delays nationwide.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy discussed the issue during a nationally televised interview.
“I think it’s only going to get worse,” Duffy said. “We have controllers who – some of them are new controllers. We have trainee controllers who are very helpful in the tower. They don’t make a lot of money.”
Duffy said some controllers have called in sick in protest, while others are taking time off to work other jobs while not getting paid.
Atlanta News First spoke with two flight attendants on Monday about the ongoing issue.
“How long is it fair to expect them to show up at a job that they’re not getting paid for? How long is it reasonable for them to start looking for compensation elsewhere? And I think that it’s something that we are feeling as air crew every single day,” Delta flight attendant Kara Wargo said.

“What’s happening right now must stop,” said Keturah Johnson, vice president of the Association of Flight Attendants International. “And for those people who are frustrated when they’re waiting in line in TSA, you know what, call your congresspeople.”
