Meg’s tour kicks off this May in Minneapolis. She’ll show face in all the major cities like Chicago, New York, New Orleans, and Atlanta before taking her show across the pond.

The Hot Girl Summer tour announcement comes just a month after Megan released HISS, a diss track critics have argued took aim at a number of stars, including her ex-boyfriend Pardison Fontaine, Drake, Nicki Minaj and even Tory Lanez’ supporters.

The song caused an uproar across fandoms.

Nicki Minaj’s fanbase, the “Barbz,” responded by doxxing the location of the cemetery where Megan Thee Stallion’s mother, Holly Pete, was laid to rest, according to TMZ.

Despite being known for her vivacious, carefree, confident attitude, the rapper has been more transparent lately about the ongoing problems in her life. In Nov. 2023, she shocked fans by releasing an emotional song called “Cobra.” In it, she admitted to struggling with her mental health, romantic relationships and friendships after her mother and grandmother died within weeks of one another in 2019.

She also attributed her struggles to being shot by Canadian rapper Tory Lanez in 2020. The “Bongos” star was ridiculed and accused of lying about her injury. She has been vocal about the friendships she lost throughout the public-facing trial.

In 2022, she launched a website with a variety of mental health resources.

The setlist and guest list for the tour have not been released yet.

Kervin Arriaga and Tani Oluwaseyi scored six minutes apart in the second half and Minnesota United held on for a 2-1 victory over Atlanta United on Saturday night.

Arriaga ended a scoreless match in the 54th minute with his first goal of the season for Minnesota United (6-2-2). Arriaga scored in his second start and fifth appearance off an assist from Joseph Rosales. It was the fourth assist this season for Rosales with all of them coming in the last three matches.

Minnesota United took a 2-0 lead in the 60th minute on a goal by Oluwaseyi, who has a team-high five goals in three starts and 10 appearances in his first full season with the club. Oluwaseyi, a forward who turns 24 on May 15, got his feet wet last season, playing 11 minutes in two appearances. He was a 2022 draft selection out of St. John’s University.

Atlanta United (3-4-3) pulled within a goal in the 82nd minute after Saba Lobjanidze used assists from Giorgos Giakoumakis and Daniel Rios to score for a second time this season.

Dayne St. Clair stopped three shots for Minnesota United, which has won three in a row and entered play one point out of the Western Conference lead.

Brad Guzan totaled three saves for Atlanta United, which went winless in the month of April. Guzan had two saves and St. Clair had one in a scoreless first half.

The two clubs, who both joined the league in 2017, were playing for the first time since 2019. That match ended in a 3-0 victory for Atlanta United, which leads the series 4-2-0.

Atlanta United will host D.C. United on Saturday. Minnesota United returns to action on May 15 when it hosts the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Braves Lose Key Reliever to Injured List with Elbow Inflammation

The Atlanta Braves are making a roster move for their bullpen.

The team announced today that reliever Pierce Johnson was being placed on the fifteen-day injured list with elbow inflammation, backdated to May 1st.

Coming up in Johnson’s roster spot in long man Jackson Stephens, who was set to make the team out of spring training until Atlanta brought back veteran Jesse Chavez on the eve of Opening Day. Stephens, who was DFA’d to give Chavez a roster spot, is being put back on the 40-man roster by the move of rehabbing left-handed pitcher Angel Perdomo (elbow surgery) to the 60-day injured list.

The move of Johnson to the injured list changes the late-game mix for Atlanta somewhat. Johnson’s appeared in thirteen games this season, sporting a 1-2 record, 3.0 ERA, and with one save on the year. The curveball specialist has most frequently pitched the sixth, seventh or eighth innings, picking up three holds and bridging to setup man A.J. Minter and closer Raisel Iglesias.

With Johnson’s absence, that removed one high-leverage reliever from the late game plan. Joe Jiménez (1.30 ERA, 8-8 on holds) stands to get the most pressure with the loss of Johnson, as he’s now the highest-performing reliever outside the final pairing of Minter and Iglesias.

Jesse Chavez stands to get more high-leverage work here. Primarily used as Atlanta’s long man this season – four of his eight appearances have gone for more than an inning – he can now give that role to Jackson Stephens and resume last season’s pre-injury usage for single innings in the 6th, 7th, and 8th as a bridge to the back end of the bullpen.

Prior to breaking his shin on a comebacker off of the bat of Detroit Tigers DH Miguel Cabrera on June 14th, Chavez had a 1.55 ERA with thirteen holds and a save across thirty appearances.
