Ex-Atlanta police officer indicted on rape charge in Cherokee County
ATLANTA – A grand jury has indicted a former Atlanta police officer on prices he raped a girl in her Acworth residence.
The closely redacted case report from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Workplace solely says a girl reported that she was raped on Jan. 31.
Authorities later recognized 32-year-old APD officers and Marietta resident Lionel Dely, charging him with rape.
In accordance with investigators, Dely informed his sufferer he was conducting an investigation and wanted to go looking her residence.
After the girl let him in, deputies say he assaulted her.

Atlanta police have confirmed with FOX 5 that Dely was not there on official enterprise, saying he “deliberately violated the phrases of his oath to obey the legislation.”
Dely had been an Atlanta police officer since 2015 till he was suspended with out pay and finally fired.
Final week, a grand jury indicted Dely on prices of rape and violating his oath.
His first courtroom listening to is about for June 15. Till then, he stays within the Cherokee County Jail with out bond.
FOX 5 reached out to Dely’s lawyer for remark and didn’t get a response.
