Braves News: Winning streak (?), Chris Sale, more
The Braves managed another win Saturday after an emotional comeback win on Friday night. It’s still early, but you have to wonder if this could be the turning point for the season, as the team finally wakes up from a brutal start to the season that felt eerily similar to much of last year. Chris Sale had an impressive 8 strikeouts in his outing, but only managed to cover 4.1 innings and struggled a but with command and inconsistent velocity. I’m still not super worried about Sale, as he continues to get extraordinarily unlucky with BABIP and the strikeouts are there, but his command was uncharacteristically inconsistent Saturday and the continuing lack of going deep into starts is unhelpful and concerning. We really have to hope the results can start looking more like last season.
