Southside High School takes first at Arkansas Quiz Bowl

The 2022 Arkansas Quiz Bowl champions have been determined within the state convention finals held at Arkansas PBS. All matches will likely be obtainable to observe on Arkansas PBS’s YouTube channel by Friday, April 29.

The Arkansas Governor’s Quiz Bowl Affiliation awarded $3,000 in scholarship cash to every first-place staff and $1,500 in scholarship cash to every runner-up.

“Quiz Bowl” is a celebration and recognition of scholarship that has been an Arkansas PBS custom since 1985. In a sequence of questions, gamers should show their data in literature, math, science, historical past, artwork, music and economics. Groups from throughout the state compete for the prospect to characterize The Pure State in nationwide tournaments.

The Arkansas Governor’s Quiz Bowl Affiliation holds regional tournaments across the state throughout March.
