Proposed Arkansas bill would create abortion exceptions

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – A invoice filed on Jan. 26 by Rep. Nicole Clowney would create an exception to Arkansas’ abortion ban when a fetus has abnormalities that it will probably’t survive after beginning.

The invoice, HB1301, would amend Arkansas regulation to say, “An individual shall not purposely carry out or try to carry out an abortion besides to save lots of the lifetime of a pregnant girl in a medical emergency or within the case of a fetal abnormality incompatible with life.”

“This isn’t a political subject,” Clowney stated.
