Proposed Arkansas amendment would change primary elections

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – Senate Joint Decision 4 was submitted to the legislature on Monday, Feb. 6, and would change the election course of if accredited by voters.

In response to our content-sharing companion, KARK-TV in Little Rock, SJR4 would name for candidates to be listed on a single poll in a major election, no matter their political get together. After the first election, the highest two candidates can be on the poll for the overall election.

The candidates’ get together would nonetheless present subsequent to their title even when they had been operating as an unbiased.

The decision was submitted by Senator Clarke Tucker (D) and has superior to the Senate State Businesses and Authorities Affairs Committee.
