LSU gained its sixth dedication prior to now seven days when cornerback Jeremiah Hughes, a three-star prospect from Bishop Gorman Excessive College in Las Vegas, picked the Tigers over Arkansas and a number of Pac-12 colleges on Thursday afternoon.

Hughes is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect who’s ranked No. 810 general and the No. 78 cornerback within the nation by 247Sports Composite. He’s the third cornerback in LSU’s 2023 class, becoming a member of four-star Daylen Austin and three-star Ashton Stamps.

Hughes’ dedication continues a large week for Brian Kelly and LSU. Courting again to July 1, LSU has landed commitments from 4 top-250 defensive linemen (Jaxon Howard, Dashawn Womack, Joshua Mickens and Darron Reed) along with Stamps and Hughes. This current run places LSU’s 2023 class at 12 commitments and within the high 15 nationally. Ten of the 12 commitments are from out of state.

And Friday might convey extra momentum, as five-star Jalen Brown from Gulliver Prep in Miami is making his choice, and lots of trade consultants count on him to select LSU.
