LIVE SCORE UPDATES: Arkansas vs. Texas Tech Baseball Game 1 | Whole Hog Sports

Arkansas 0, Texas Tech 0 — End 1st Inning

All three Arkansas batters put good contact on the ball in the first, but none of the balls dropped for hits.

Peyton Holt had a slicer caught on the run in shallow center, Peyton Stovall had a line drive caught at the warning track in right field and Jared Sprague-Lott was out on a hard-hit ball to second.

Ben Bybee worked a perfect top of the first with a couple of strikeouts.

The first out by Gavin Kash was on contact. Second baseman Peyton Stovall was shifted perfectly on the grass in shallow right field to take away a leadoff single.

Pregame

Arkansas and Texas Tech are getting set to get underway at 7 p.m.

It is a gorgeous night in Fayetteville. It is breezy with a temperature in the mid-70s as players warm up. It should be in the 60s by the end of the game, but humid and pleasant.

Arkansas will send right-hander Ben Bybee to the mound. He enters with a 1.00 ERA and 0.56 WHIP since returning from mono last month. He pitched four strong innings last week against San Jose State.

Texas Tech will throw lefty Zach Erdman, who has a 7.24 ERA and 1.68 WHIP in 13 2/3 innings.

This is the first of a two-game series between these teams. They are scheduled to play again Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Both teams are entering on two-game losing streaks after dropping conference series last weekend — Arkansas at Alabama and Texas Tech at TCU.

The Razorbacks’ offense really struggled against the Crimson Tide. This is partly related to rest and development, but Dave Van Horn has shaken things up in the lineup tonight.
