Early voting begins for Arkansas primary runoff elections

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Early voting started Tuesday in Arkansas for subsequent week’s major runoff election.

There aren’t any statewide or congressional races on the poll within the June 21 runoff so the motion will as a substitute give attention to a number of Republican primaries for the state Legislature. A few of the races function incumbent lawmakers heading off challenges for the GOP nomination.

Essentially the most heated race is a Republican major in north Arkansas that pits two of probably the most outspoken conservatives who’ve served within the Legislature. Republican Sen. Bob Ballinger faces former Sen. Bryan King within the major runoff. Ballinger defeated King in a 2018 Republican major for state Senate.

Republicans maintain a majority of each chambers of the state Legislature.
