Arkansas State University-Mountain Home holds Ribbon Cutting

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (KAIT) -Mountain Home held a ribbon cutting and grand opening for the newly named Arkansas State University-Mountain Home campuses.

Mountain Home Mayor Hillery Adams and ASUMH Chancellor Dr. Bently Wallace held the grand opening for the Dr. Robert L. Myers Technical Education Campus and Czeshin – Newth Workforce Development Center on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

The ASU System Board of Trustees approved the name of the technical campus in July 2023, choosing to name it in honor of Dr. Myers for his contributions to the campus.

“Several years ago, Dr. Myers saw the future and knew that the college would have to expand if we were going to be able to adequately serve employers in our area,” Dr. Wallace said during the dedication, “He had a vision but needed a place for it to be fulfilled.”
