Arkansas county jail guard fatally shot by man being booked

PERRYVILLE, Ark. — A county jail guard in central Arkansas was shot and killed by a person being booked into the jail, state police mentioned Thursday.

No names and few particulars in regards to the Wednesday evening capturing on the Perry County jail in Perryville, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) northwest of Little Rock, have been instantly launched.

An announcement from Arkansas State Police mentioned the suspect is a 37-year-old man who had been arrested by Perry County deputies and was being booked into the jail on the time of the capturing.

State police have been requested by the sheriff’s workplace to research the capturing and extra info could be launched later Thursday, the assertion mentioned.
