Arkansas adds 2 games to basketball schedule

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas’ males’s basketball staff has added a pair of residence video games to its non-conference schedule for the upcoming season.

The Razorbacks are set to host Fordham on Friday, Nov. 11 and North Carolina-Greensboro on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Bud Walton Area in Fayetteville, based on recreation contracts obtained by a Freedom of Info Act request. Recreation occasions haven’t been decided.

Fordham, a member of the Atlantic 10 Convention, completed the 2021-22 season at 16-16 general and 8-10 in league play. Final season marked this system’s first since 2015-16 through which it completed .500 or higher.

In April, the Rams named Keith Urgo their head coach, changing Kyle Neptune. Urgo served as an affiliate head coach with this system in 2021-22.

UNC-Greensboro was 17-15 final season and 9-9 within the Southern Convention in head coach Mike Jones’ first season after leaving Radford.

Fordham and UNC-Greensboro are the seventh and eighth identified opponents on Arkansas’ upcoming non-conference schedule.

The Razorbacks are additionally scheduled to open the season Nov. 7 towards North Dakota State; host San Jose State on Dec. 3; play Oklahoma in Tulsa on Dec. 10; and host North Carolina-Asheville on Dec. 21. Arkansas will open the Maui Invitational on Nov. 21 towards Louisville, then play Texas Tech or Creighton the next day.

It is going to play its ultimate recreation on the occasion on Nov. 23 towards Arizona, Cincinnati, Ohio State or San Diego State.

Arkansas’ ultimate non-conference recreation is at Baylor on Jan. 28 as a part of the Large 12/SEC Problem. It will likely be the Razorbacks’ first journey to Waco, Texas, for the reason that groups had been members of the Southwest Convention in January 1991.
