SEC West implications are on the line when Alabama hosts LSU on Saturday in Week 10 of the college football season.

Coach Nick Saban and the No. 8 Crimson Tide (7-1, 5-0 SEC) are set to host the No. 14 Tigers (6-2, 4-1) at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Alabama (No. 8 AP/No. 8 US LBM Coaches) leads the SEC-West with a 5-0 conference record, just ahead of No. 10 Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1) and LSU. With win for the Tigers (No. 13/No. 13) could create a three-way tie for a SEC Championship berth entering Week 11.

Alabama has rattled off six consecutive wins since falling 34-24 to No. 7 Texas at home on Sept. 9. The Crimson Tide defense has been paramount to the success, ranking 16th nationally in scoring defense (16.5 points per game) and 17th in total defense (306.4 yards per game).

However, Alabama will have its hands full with the potent LSU offense led by quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Tigers rank first nationally in yards per game (552.9) and points per game (47.4) in large part to Daniels’ career season. The Heisman Trophy candidate has passed for 2,573 yards and 25 touchdowns to only three interceptions this season, along with 521 rushing yards and five rushing scores.
