Watch Alabama get away with blatant facemask in Iron Bowl

Alabama got away with one of the more blatant facemasks you’ll ever see in the first quarter of the Iron Bowl.

After the Crimson Tide kicked off following the game’s first touchdown, Auburn’s Brian Battie returned the ball from the goal line. At around the 5-yard line, Alabama’s Kendrick Law obviously grabbed Battie’s facemask, but did not bring him down.

No penalty was called, but Battie was tackled at the 7 by Quandarrius Robinson. Here’s video:

To add insult to injury, Auburn was called for a block in the back, which put the ball on the 4. The Tigers ended up punting, give the Crimson Tide the ball at the 50.

However, in perhaps a bit of poetic justice, Law had a 40-yard touchdown run called back by holding.
