Teen missing for eight hours in Alabama forest found after massive search

A lacking teenager who turned misplaced Tuesday in a north Alabama forest was discovered after an enormous eight-hour search, authorities mentioned.

Authorities obtained a name round 10:30 a.m. Tuesday of an 18-year-old male which will have puzzled off into the woods close to the Black Warrior check-in station on Lawrence County Highway 9 in Bankhead Nationwide Forest, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned Tuesday evening.

Sheriff’s deputies discovered a car belonging to the teenager once they arrived on the scene.

Round 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, one of many search groups noticed the teenager close to Borden Creek, about two miles from the place he entered the forest.

The teenager was escorted to the closest street after which taken to the command put up.

He instructed authorities “he went into the woods to do some pondering and have become misplaced,” the sheriff’s workplace mentioned.

The teenager was given meals and water and left with members of the family.
