Paralyzed woman, 73, dies in east Alabama house fire

A 73-year-old paralyzed girl was killed when her east Alabama house erupted in flames, in keeping with a report.

Brenda Corbitt was trapped when the house off Freeway 165 in Phenix Metropolis caught fireplace Wednesday, Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry advised WRBL on Thursday.

Corbitt’s husband was capable of escape.

The couple’s household believed the hearth began within the kitchen, WRBL reported.
