Officers search for suspects after Ashford area shooting

ASHFORD, Ala. (WTVY) – Two dozen or so officers are searching for suspects who shot someone near Ashford on Friday night, including the Houston County Special Response Team.

At least one person is detained but there could be other suspects.

The Alabama Department of Transportation issued an alert for a traffic slowdown along U.S. 84 in the Ashford area for it, described as a “police incident.”(WTVY)

The person shot is hospitalized but information on that victim’s condition is unknown.
