The Athletic’s instant analysis:
Crimson Tide keep getting richer
Beaman is the nation’s No. 107 prospect and yet only the fourth-highest-ranked recruit in coach Nick Saban’s 2024 class. Welcome to recruiting at Alabama, where the rich continue to get richer.
The Crimson Tide will always have a seat at the table with high-level prospects, especially in their backyard. Beaman had a top 10 that included Colorado, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, Texas, Ole Miss, Florida State and Florida before he announced his decision Sunday night.
He is the Crimson Tide’s sixth top-200 prospect and fourth in-state product. Alabama might only have seven recruits for the nation’s No. 16 class, but the average player rating of 95.35 is the nation’s best. Who’s surprised? — Raynor
How Beaman fits with Alabama
Beaman is the first hand-in-the-ground defensive line commitment in Alabama’s 2024 class, a position of need in this year’s class. A three-technique (defensive tackle), Beaman has the size and athleticism to be a versatile piece on Alabama’s defensive line.
He’s the fourth defensive commitment in this class — from here, Alabama will prioritize the defensive line and secondary to fill out its class. — Smith
