Former Alabama guard JD Davison on Saturday signed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics, the workforce introduced.
Davison, the 53rd decide within the NBA draft, averaged 8.5 factors, 4.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and one steal in 33 video games final season. He was named to the SEC All-Freshman workforce and led the Crimson Tide in assists. Davison completed seventh within the SEC amongst all gamers in that class.
The 19-year-old recorded 10 factors, six rebounds, six assists, three blocks and two steals in his debut on Saturday with the Celtics within the Las Vegas Summer time League. He went 3-of-11 from the sphere, together with 2-of-5 from 3-point vary.

Davison will cut up his time subsequent season between Boston and the Maine Celtics within the NBA G League. He’s eligible to spend not more than 50 video games within the NBA and can earn a flat wage equal to 50% of the minimal wage relevant to a participant with zero years of service.
