Kamala Harris staff exodus: Deputy chief of staff Michael Fuchs quits

The string of workers members in Vice President Kamala Harris’ workplace grows longer, as deputy chief of workers Michael Fuchs is now leaving the Biden administration, Fox Information has confirmed.

First reported by Reuters, Fuchs’ departure was introduced in an inside memo on Monday.

“It’s been the dignity of a lifetime to serve on this administration, working for the Vice President and President on behalf of the American individuals,” Fuchs wrote in an electronic mail to fellow staffers. “Fifteen months later, it’s virtually tough to recall the magnitude of the challenges we confronted once we got here in, from an unprecedented pandemic to traditionally tough financial circumstances. And it’s because of the work of this administration – and all of you – that our nation has had such success in tackling these challenges and turning issues round.”

Fuchs stated that he’ll keep on as deputy chief of workers till early Might.

“The Vice President is grateful for Michael’s tireless work, management, and the numerous miles he traveled domestically and internationally as we lifted up households and strengthened relationships with allies overseas. Our complete workforce will miss Michael as he begins this subsequent chapter,” Harris communications director Jamal Simmons stated in a press release.

Fuchs’ exit follows these of others together with deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh, chief spokesperson Symone Sanders, deputy director of public engagement and intergovernmental affairs Vincent Evans, director of Harris’ press operations Peter Velz, vice presidential nationwide safety adviser Amb. Nancy McEldowney, and director of speechwriting Kate Childs Graham.

Graham’s substitute was introduced on Monday. Meghan Groob will grow to be the vp’s chief speechwriter. Groob served within the Obama administration because the speechwriting director for then-Secretarry of Commerce Penny Pritzker.
