Women’s Tennis to Face Rhode Island in First Round of A-10 Championship – George Washington University Athletics

GW ladies’s tennis will start its quest for an Atlantic 10 title on Wednesday when it faces Rhode Island within the first spherical of the Championship bracket. First serve from the USTA Nationwide Campus in Orlando, Fla., is about for 11:30 a.m.

GW enters because the No. 7 seed and Rhode Island is No. 10. The winner of Wednesday’s match will meet No. 2 UMass on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

REGULAR-SEASON RECAP 
The Buff & Blue personal a three-match win streak heading into Wednesday and completed the common season 9-9 total and 5-3 in convention play. Stella Wiesemann and Katarina Marinkovikj lead the group with 13 and 12 singles wins, respectively. As well as, GW’s singles play has received all of its respective factors in straight units in its final three contests.

GW has received eight of its final 9 doubles matchups, with Marinkovikj and Alexandra Vesikallio and Wisemann and Charlotte Bell staying undefeated to assist the Buff & Blue to their three wins.
