PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Gov. Daniel McKee introduced Wednesday that he has appointed Lt. Col. Darnell Weaver to be the following superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police, making him the primary particular person of shade to command the division.

Weaver will assume the rank of colonel throughout a swearing-in ceremony Friday on the State Home.
