Regina B. (Avery)  Richard, a resident of Warwick since 1946 died on Might 12, 2022. She was the beloved spouse of the late Edward F. Richard for 62 years and the Mom of the late Edward F. Richard Jr. and Mom In Legislation to Doris Richard, Florida.

She was born in Charles Cove, Nova Scotia the daughter of the late George and Mabel (Richard) Avery. She was the loving Grandmother of Regina B. Tibbitts, Warwick, Tina Mierra, Colorado and Tonya Weve, Kansas. She is the sister of the late brothers Dave, Frank, Nelson Avery and Sisters of Christina Pellerin, Julia Avery, Mabel Pellerin and Rita Sweeney, half Sister of Arthur and Rita Jean Richard.

She spent a lifetime of Volunteer Companies receiving a number of awards along with her late husband from Narragansett Council of Boy Scouts as Den Mom and Coaching Commissioner. At St. Rita’s Church, Warwick she promoted spiritual awards, shut-in lots, and directed the annual church musicals. In 1958 they each obtained the Management Warwick Award, and the Salvation Military Award for 15 years of service with the Warwick Unit. In 2016 she obtained the Honor Roll award for her service at her residence in Nova Scotia.

She was the secretary to Msgr. Robert C. Newbold Our Woman of Windfall Seminary Excessive College for 12 years. She was the CFO for Warwick Group Motion for 3 years adopted by being appointed Director of Foster Grandparents for 12 years.

In 1985 she represented Rhode Island on the White Home Luncheon hosted by First Woman Nancy Reagan on the twentieth Anniversary of the Foster Grandparent Program.

Her funeral might be held Monday, Might 16, 2022, at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Dwelling, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Clement Church, Lengthy St, Warwick. Burial at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, 5-7 pm. Memorial contributions to St. Clement Church, 111 Lengthy St, Warwick, RI or the charity of your alternative can be appreciated.
