Rhode Island’s common gasoline value on Thursday hit $5.00 per gallon for the primary time ever, in line with AAA Northeast.
Rhode Island joins Massachusetts, which reached the mark a couple of days in the past, and is now $5.02.
Connecticut averages $4.95 and the nationwide common for self-serve unleaded is $4.97.

Earlier this week, U.S. Secretary of Commerce — and former RI Governor — Gina Raimondo stated that there’s not far more the White Home can do to sort out record-high gasoline costs for People.
Raimondo, showing on CNN, forged blame on the growing gasoline costs on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“Sadly, that’s the brutal actuality,” Raimondo stated in response to CNN’s Kate Bolduan saying there’s not a lot motion left that President Joe Biden can take.
