“We are thrilled to host this prestigious event here in Rhode Island and look forward to welcoming business and economic development leaders from around the world to Providence in November,” said Rhode Island Commerce Secretary Liz Tanner. “From life sciences to the Blue Economy, Rhode Island is proud to serve as a leader in a wide range of innovative economic sectors. Hosting the 2023 Go Global Awards will provide opportunities for our statewide business community to showcase its strengths and create new connections in the international supply chain.”

About Conference
Scheduled for Monday, November 6 through Wednesday, November 8 at the Omni Providence, the Go Global Awards program showcases businesses’ achievements in international trade and provides a platform for organizations to achieve their foreign direct investment goals.
The 2023 Awards will be co-presented by the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation and the International Trade Council, a global organization dedicated to fostering trade, investment, and economic growth by connecting government and businesses, and providing resources to the international trade community.
The three-day event will include networking opportunities, pitch contests, panel discussions, organized site visits to local businesses, tourism-focused excursions, and more. It will conclude with an awards presentation recognizing honorees in a wide range of categories. Nominations for awards will be accepted online through June 30.
Last year’s Go Global Awards event, held in Estonia, was attended by more than 500 business leaders and attracted more than 8,100 total award entries. Rhode Island won the opportunity to host this event as the 2022 winner of the Economic Development Agency of the year award.
“We are excited that the 2023 Go Global Awards will be held in Rhode Island, a true epicenter of economic activity in the USA. Rhode Island’s forward-thinking approach, strategic geographic location, robust infrastructure, and diverse resource base make it the perfect landing point for international companies of all types. We eagerly anticipate the synergies and opportunities that will be created as we celebrate global business success in this vibrant and dynamic state,” said Ranjani Rangan, ITC Board Member and Head of the Go Global Awards Event Committee.
