DUI Task Force continues patrols during Memorial Day Weekend | ABC6
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island DUI Task Force said it will be continuing its patrols during Memorial Day Weekend in order to catch travelers driving under the influence.
Drivers who observe a vehicle whose operator they believe maybe impaired are asked to call 911 and report the incident.
The task force is made up of members from the Rhode Island State Police, local police officers from cities and towns, officers from the Rhode Island Department of Transportation Office of Highway Safety, and the Attorney General’s Office.
“Working together, we hope to make this year’s Memorial Day weekend travel one that is safe and enjoyable for all traveling our roadways,” the task force said in a statement.
