Police clear Pitt’s Hillman Library after receiving hoax calls reporting possible active shooter
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Police have cleared the Hillman Library on the College of Pittsburgh campus after receiving hoax calls of a doable energetic shooter.
Pittsburgh Public Security officers say that after officers have been referred to as to the campus to research, they discovered no proof of an energetic shooter and located no victims.
Officers say the constructing has been safely cleared and that college students can return to the library to retrieve their private gadgets.
College of Pittsburgh officers say that the calls reporting the energetic shooter conditions have been unfounded and Pitt Police are investigating the supply of the hoax calls.
Lower than two weeks in the past, quite a few police companies swarmed town’s Oakland neighborhood close to Pitt’s campus after hoax energetic shooter calls have been reported at Central Catholic and Oakland Catholic excessive faculties.
It is unclear if there may be any connection between the hoax calls.
