Pittsburgh Steelers can clinch a playoff spot this week. Here’s how

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a chance to punch their ticket to the playoffs this week officially. They have more than one path to it, but Week 14 could end any speculation on if they will make the playoffs.

The easiest way for the Steelers to clinch a berth would be to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles. They have not won in Philadelphia since 1965 and the Eagles are 11-2 coming off a grind it out win over the Carolina Panthers. But if the Steelers win, that is all it takes for them to clinch their playoff berth.

The other scenario in a scenario where they lose is a bit more complicated. First, the Indianapolis Colts need to lose to the Denver Broncos. The Colts own the tiebreaker over the Steelers in a head-to-head scenario because of their win over them.

In addition to a Colts loss, the Miami Dolphins would have to lose to the Houston Texans. Neither of those possibilities is unlikely, but those scenarios require some help from others. The Steelers can take care of business themselves with a win and end any trepidation that they could miss the playoffs.
