Final 12 months, PSU Enactus – a student-led entrepreneurism group – took a management position with The Group Backyard on the First Christian Church to revitalize it and produce it again to life.

Positioned at 705 Centennial Drive, it was established in 2009 and in its early days went from donating over 4,000 kilos of contemporary produce to Wesley Home to greater than 10,000 kilos in 2012.

This Thursday, about 12 Enactus members and their recruits will begin breaking floor to plant a fall backyard, with plans for a spring and summer time backyard in 2023.

That Pittsburg location outreach program offers meals to the Frontenac, Arma and Arcadia.

The Diner’s singular mission is to serve a nutritious meal with dignity and respect to anybody who’s hungry.
