Pittsburg Police host Easter egg hunt
PITTSURG, Kans. — The Pittsburg Police Division made positive children obtained an early begin to the vacation weekend. It hosted a novel Easter egg hunt.
Officers with the Information Division hid 48 eggs in parks throughout the town Friday morning. Inside each — a notice telling the children and their dad and mom to return the egg to the Information Division — in change for a photograph with law enforcement officials and a goodie bag.
“Myself and a co-worker had the thought, we pitched it to our supervisor and everybody was like ‘Yeah, positive nice let’s do it!’ so now right here we try to determine how we’re going to be Easter Bunnies. We’re at all times attempting to consider the children, not everyone seems to be at all times as lucky as our households are,” stated Alexus Winder, PPD Information Clerk.
Eggs have been hidden at Kiwanis, Schlanger, Lincoln and Paul B. Leffler Rotary Parks.
Even when an egg is discovered after Easter, the Division will nonetheless supply toys or sweet as soon as they’re returned.
