Pitt Lions Club gives back with splash pad donation
PITTSBURG, Kans. — A company in Pittsburg is giving again to the group.
The Pittsburg Lions Membership donated a lion-shaped ingesting fountain and 5 park benches to the brand new splash pad in Schlanger Park.
To assist pay for the benches, membership members recycled greater than 2,500 kilos of plastic baggage.
“It’s actually been an effort by our complete membership. They labored so very exhausting. We had been all excited to see it come to fruition and see that lion, particularly put in. We’re simply very proud to be a part of the enhancements at Schlanger Park as a result of town has achieved a lot work in that space. If we could be a small half useful in to that we’re comfortable to do it,” stated Lori Horton, President Of The Pittsburg Lions Membership.
Climate allowing, town will set up the benches quickly.
No official phrase on when the brand new splash pad will open.
