A person is needed for questioning for a murder in a rural Pittsburg County neighborhood.

The Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Workplace is searching for Devin James Hatfield, 30, of Quinton, for questioning within the April 28, 2022, homicide of Terry Vernard within the Oak Ridge neighborhood close to Longtown.

Investigators are additionally looking for the proprietor of an older white four-door automotive in reference to the homicide of Vernard.

Pittsburg County Sheriff Chris Morris stated Friday his workplace has all hands-on deck for the investigation.

Deputies responded Thursday night to a residence on Norman Street within the Oak Ridge neighborhood east of Longtown for a report of an individual who was shot with the suspect leaving the scene in a automobile.

In accordance with the sheriff, Vernard died after receiving a single gunshot wound to the pinnacle.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is aiding PCSO within the investigation.
