Iola bike shop makes its way to Pittsburg

PITTSBURG, Ks. — A Southeast Kansas enterprise is making itself recognized to the group.

As we speak was the grand opening of Southwind Cycle and Out of doors in Pittsburg.

That is proprietor Ben Alexander’s second bike store after already opening one in Iola.

He determined to develop his enterprise after listening to Tailwind Cyclists closed its doorways.

Alexander says, “Tailwind Cycles has been in Pittsburg for 20 years and actually created an incredible group of highway riders and racers and not too long ago the proprietor of that has moved on to different ventures and form of left a void right here for with the ability to simply restore everybody’s bike and maintain folks using.”

“Southeast Kansas is sort of a bike store desert. Now we have a number of trails, an honest variety of riders, tons of people that wish to go on bike rides within the night or on gravel highway or simply cruising round city, however there’s not a number of bike outlets round so we wished to return over right here and serve this space,” says Alexander.

Southwind has already gotten concerned within the Pittsburg group.

It hosts household rides on Saturdays and can be serving to out with the Gorilla Century bike trip on Labor Day weekend.
