The Los Vaqueros Watershed shall be closed on Sunday, September 4, and Monday, September 5, as a consequence of extreme warmth and the potential for excessive hearth hazard. The Nationwide Climate Service has issued an Extreme Warmth Warning for the inland East Bay forecasting temperatures of 110 in Brentwood. Keep protected!

Contra Costa County Library
The Contra Costa County Library has 21 branches out there as locations to chill: Antioch, Prewett in Antioch, Bay Level, Brentwood, Clayton, Danville, El Sobrante, Hercules, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Oakley, Orinda, Pinole, Pittsburg, Nice Hill, San Pablo, Dougherty Station in San Ramon, San Ramon, Walnut Creek and Ygnacio Valley in Walnut Creek.

*The Harmony Library is presently closed for roof repairs. In the course of the warmth wave, the above libraries shall be open common hours on Thursday, 9/1, Friday, 9/2, Saturday, 9/3, and Tuesday, 9/6.   • Harmony Senior Middle, 2727 Parkside Circle, Harmony. Open 9 am to 4 pm on Friday, September 2. Hours shall be prolonged till 7 pm if temperatures stay above 100 levels. Additionally open 12 pm to 7 pm Saturday, September, 3, to Monday September, 5.
  • The Metropolis of Pittsburg is providing a cooling heart if the temperature maintains 104 levels or greater:
    Pittsburg Senior Middle, 300 Presidio Lane, Pittsburg
    Potential hours of operation: Saturday, September 3, and Sunday, September 4, 12:30 pm to 7 pm. Please name (925) 252-4890 for extra data.
  • The Metropolis of Pittsburg can also be encouraging the neighborhood to make the most of the Buchanan Swim Middle. The pool is situated at 4150 Harbor Road and is open on weekends from 12 pm to five pm. Contact (925) 439-4841 for extra data.
  • Nice Hill Recreation & Park District 
    Nice Hill Senior Middle

    Hours: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 2 pm – 7 pm.

  • The Metropolis of Walnut Creek will provide a cooling heart (all are welcome) if the temperature reaches 95 levels.
    Tice Gymnasium, 2055 Tice Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek
    Hours: Monday-Friday 9 am – 8 pm, Saturday, September 3, 7 am – 10:30 pm, and Sunday, September 4, 12 pm – 7 pm.
    People with animals are welcome at Tice Gymnasium offered their animal can safely stay in a pet service or kennel. For those who don’t have a kennel, a number of kennels to be used shall be out there while you come.

The County Employment & Human Providers Division (EHSD) provides the next locations to chill on Tuesday, September 6, from 8 am to five pm. Water and light-weight snacks shall be out there.

It’s also possible to go to areas within the Bay Space with cooler temperatures or different areas with air-con. For those who plan to go to the seashore, train warning as there could also be riptides. Apply water security, together with sporting life vests when swimming or boating.
