Sparks fly as suspect leads officers on pursuit in Delaware County
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Authorities are trying to find a police chase suspect who led Philadelphia officers on a pursuit that led to Delaware County Monday evening.
The chase began round 8:30 p.m. close to Tyson and Torresdale avenues within the metropolis’s Tacony neighborhood.
The suspect led officers onto I-95 and finally out of the town.
Chopper 6 was overhead because the suspect’s car started sparking on the freeway in the course of the daring escape.
Round 9:30 p.m. the suspect might be seen getting out of the car and operating into a close-by wooded space close to the Villanova exit on I-476.
It is nonetheless unclear why officers had been chasing the suspect.
No arrests have been made.
