Police: Woman kills pedestrian after double carjacking, series of crashes in Delaware

NEW CASTLE, Delaware (WPVI) — Delaware State Police have arrested a girl accused of killing a pedestrian and injuring one other throughout a double carjacking that led to a sequence of crashes on Sunday.

The incident began round 9:30 a.m. when police say a girl carjacked a driver on the 4000 block of New Fort Ave (Rt. 9).

Whereas the girl was fleeing the scene, police say she struck and killed a pedestrian within the space of Rt. 9 and Boothhurst Blvd.

Because the suspect continued to flee the crash scene, police say she hit one other pedestrian within the space of South Road and sixth Road. The pedestrian suffered minor accidents and is anticipated to outlive.

Police say the suspect crashed into one other car on Washington Road and carjacked a second driver and kidnapped an grownup sufferer who was within the automobile.

The chaotic incident ended with a crash within the space of Hamburg Rd.

Police say an off-duty police officer and a former legislation enforcement officer, who witnessed a part of the incident, apprehended the suspect on the closing crash scene till troopers arrived and she or he was taken into custody.

Police haven’t recognized the sufferer or the suspect right now.

No different accidents have been instantly reported.
