Police: 63-year-old store owner robbed, assaulted with brick in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police are investigating the theft and assault of a retailer proprietor Friday in North Philadelphia.

The incident occurred simply earlier than 7 p.m. on the 1300 block of Girard Avenue.

Police say the 63-year-old proprietor was closing up his enterprise when he was approached by a masked man.

The suspect reportedly hit the proprietor within the head with a brick and took about $3,000.

The sufferer was taken to Thomas Jefferson Hospital with critical head accidents however is in steady situation.

Thus far, no arrests have been made.
